Based on the meteorological data ( temperature, p recip itation, sunshine, etc) and the community economy data of the land, population and energy, the interannual variation trend and evolution of land - use, population, energy consuming, climate and air pol2lution were analyzed. Result show that changes of climate and the land - use in the Yangtze Delta area were reflecting the influence ofboth human activities and nature. Although the urbanization and industrialization had accelerated economy develop ing of this area, meanwhile they also had caused some p roblems of sharp ly increase of population and energy consump tion, and these would aggravatethe atmospheric pollution and climatic environment change.
